Marine EngineersRegio: Leiden Dienstverband: Full-time Over de opdrachtgever The company is responsible for the technical preparation necessary for platform, floating construction, pipeline and subsea installation projects. Together with colleagues and clients, our engineers work in dedicated multi discipline project teams in order to provide constructive and workable solutions. The preparations require among other marine analysis, structural analysis and equipment design expertise. Next to that methods and procedures are developed and engineered. The department is directly involved with the preparation and execution of projects offshore on an international scale. To maintain our present high quality manpower capacity we are looking to fill the following positions. MARINE ENGINEERS/NAVAL ARCHITECTS As marine engineer you are tasked with analyzing the movements of floating structures in an offshore environment. This is done primarily by running computer analyses in the area of hydrostatics and hydrodynamics. These studies are used in preparation for offshore transport and installation projects but also as part of business development activities. Profile: Msc/Bsc Maritime / Civil Engineering or equivalent. For this function the following is needed: - Good communication skills - Team spirited - Flexible - Good command of the English and Dutch language - Prepared to work temporary offshore on our vessels or overseas - Experience in relevant jobs in the field of offshore Transport & Installation, Structural, Design and Pipelay Engineering is an advantage. Helft werknemers heeft slechte houding Stekende pijn in de onderarmen of nek, of schouders die zo flexibel zijn als tropisch hardhout: uit een onlangs gehouden online-onderzoek van Ergonomique onder 25 duizend personen blijkt dat zeker de helft een verkeerde werkhouding heeft. Bijna niemand geeft aan op kantoor de optimale houding na te streven. Ook studenten en leerlingen hebben volgens de RSI-patiëntenvereniging steeds vaker klachten. Er bestaan wetenschappelijke aanwijzigingen voor de beste werkhouding, maar veel van deze richtlijnen worden niet nageleefd. Zo liggen in 83 procent van de gevallen documenten op de verkeerde plaats, staat bij 69 procent de bureaustoel niet op de juiste hoogte en heeft 60 procent van de respondenten de monitor niet op de juiste afstand staan.
